Cypress-Fairbanks ISD announced its varsity football schedule for the 2019 season, with the slate of games including multiple non-district games for the 12 CFISD teams after doing so in 2018 for the first time in more than a decade.

All 12 football programs will play two non-district games, beginning with Week 1 (Aug. 29-31) and again in Week 2 (Sept. 5-7). From there, the 12 will split into seven schools in District 14-6A and the remaining five in District 17-6A. Both districts are nine-team leagues, with Bryan and Tomball Memorial high schools in District 14-6A. Spring Branch ISD’s Memorial, Northbrook, Spring Woods and Stratford high schools comprise the rest of District 17-6A.

District play in both leagues will begin in Week 3 (Sept. 12-14), but game times between the districts will vary.

In District 14-6A, Thursday games will begin at 6:30 p.m. except when a CFISD team is hosting Bryan. In those cases, games will begin at 7 p.m. District 17-6A Thursday contests will also begin at 7 p.m.

Friday games in both districts will begin at 7 p.m.

On Saturdays, district games will begin at 6 p.m. through Week 7 (Oct. 10-12) with the exception of one game, which will follow a band contest and begin at 7 p.m.:

  • Cypress Springs vs. Cypress Ranch at Cy-Fair FCU Stadium (Oct. 12).

Saturday games at both stadiums during the final four weeks will begin at 1 p.m.

There is one double homecoming scheduled – Cypress Ranch vs. Cypress Park on Oct. 4 at Cy-Fair FCU Stadium.
