This year is upon us and we will be getting started soon with MANDATORY practices that will start July 31, 2017 at Jersey Meadows Retention Pond. The practice schedule and meet schedule is below and please know that practice is mandatory if you want an opportunity to race in the first few meets. Failure to attend one or more practices between July 31st-August 26th could result in you missing the first few meets and if you miss numerous practices in these four weeks, you may be subject to removal from the program. These practices are not optional so please make all the needed arrangements to be there and be on time (10 minutes prior to start time). We look forward to a great year with many successes and it all starts with your commitment and dedication to the program. If we are going to succeed, we must be willing to make sacrifices for the team and make sacrifices and changes in your free time as well as during your training to ensure you have the best opportunity to make this year a huge success for the Jersey Village Falcons Cross Country Program. All physicals and online forms must be completed before beginning practices,(cypressfairbanksisd.rankonesport.com)

Dec.06.16

Cross Country athletes who are in good standing with the team, of good moral character, a senior and have an overall grade point average of 92 or above (including courses from grades 9-11 and courses completed from grade 12) are eligible to be nominated for the THSCA Academic Team. While the student might initially meet the criteria for nomination, that does not guarantee the student a spot on a team. When reviewing the nominations, the THSCA considers each students’ GPA, class rank, SAT and/or ACT score. The students receive points based on each criteria. The total number of points they receive determines which team they are placed on. Jersey Village HS had 4 students on the Boys Cross Country Team receive this honor.

Ryan Erwin, Shane Erwin and Matthew Jiang were named to the Academic All State Elite Team and Phillip Gutierrez was named to the Academic All State 2nd Team. Congratulations Falcons.
