Morgan Stewart finished 3rd at the UIL Track & Field State Championship in the 400 meter run with a time of 54.28. Morgan's seasonal best time of 53.49 still currently has her ranked # 1 in the state of Texas and # 6 in the nation. Congrats on a fantastic 4 years Mighty!"

More great news from Coach Day "Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Track team for being 6A-Region 3 qualifiers for the 2017 track season which consisted of Creshaun Cresser, Emily Gonzalez, Alexa Granderson, Cydni Miller, Allana Qualls, Jamaiah Satra, A'rshanae Smith and Morgan Stewart. Our 4x400 meter relay has the honor of being ranked 6th in our region. A special congratulations to Morgan Stewart who has had an astounding season. Morgan is the 6A-Region 3 silver medalist in the 800 meter run & Gold medalist in the 400 meter run. More great news from Coach Day "Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Track team for setting a new school record of 4:00.10 & placing 3rd in the sprint medley relay out of 19 teams and placing 8th out of 100 teams in the 4x400 meter relay. Congratulations to the Varsity TRACK Girls who competed in the Victor Lopez Invitational at Rice University. Finalist and outstanding performers of the week consisted of Jamaiah Satra running a personal best time of 57.7 in the 400m. Morgan Stewart had a mind blowing performance this week that had fans on their feet watching in amazement. Morgan set a new school record in the 400 meters with a time of 53.81 (currently 1st in the state & 5th in the nation). Congratulations to the 4x400 meter relay for placing 2nd and setting a new school record of 3:44.96 (currently 4th in the state and 6th in the nation) which consisted of Alexa Granderson, Jamaiah Satra, Creshaun Cresser and Morgan Stewart. The following Lady Falcons were medalist in their event: Alexa Granderson placed 1st in the 800 & 3rd in the mile while simultaneously setting a new school record of 5:19.60; Morgan Stewart placed 1st in the 400 with a new school record of 54.29. Lastly, but certainly not least a special congratulations to the girls sprint medley for taking home the gold which consisted of Cydni Miller, Creshaun Cresser, Jamaiah Satra, and Morgan Stewart. Congratulations to the Lady Falcons Track Team for an outstanding showing at the Seven Lakes Invite. This week's medalist were Alexa Granderson (3rd in the 800); Jamaiah Satra (2nd 300 hurdles) with a new school record of 45.90; Morgan Stewart 1st in the 800 with a new Meet record of 2:11. 80. The 4x400 meter relay took home gold and set a new Meet record of 3:46.68 which consisted of Alexa Granderson, Jamaiah Satra, Morgan Stewart and Creshaun Cresser. News from Coach Day, "Congratulations to the Lady Falcon's track team for a phenomenal season opener at Cy-Ridge Relays. This week's medalist were: Victoria Sky-Eagle, Creshaun Cresser, Alexa Granderson, Olivia Gilmour, A'rshanae Smith, Jamaiah Satra, Cydni Miller and Morgan Stewart. Special congratulations to the 4x200 meter relay for setting a new school record of 1:43.20 and Jamaiah Satra for setting the new 300 meter hurdle school record with a time of 46.02! Keep up the hard work ladies".

On Saturday May 14th, Morgan Stewart competed in the UIL State Championship Finals for the Girls 800 meter race and placed 3rd with a time of 2:10.58. Morgan's seasonal best time of 2:09.60 still currently has her ranked # 2 in the state of Texas and # 12 in the nation.
Morgan beat fellow JVHS Krista Davey's time of 2:16.25 , who also place third in the State Championship in 1996. Based on average speeds, Morgan would have finished over 33 meters in front of Krista. Now that is blazing. Coach Days say "Congrats on a fantastic track season."
This week Morgan Stewart was named the KHOU11 Athlete of the Week. Last week Morgan won the 800 meter event at Regionals and is headed to State. Best of Luck Morgan, we're cheering for you.

On Friday March 11th, as most students were getting ready for Spring Break, Morgan Stewart was racing around the track at the Klein ISD relays. At the end of the race, Morgan finished in 1st place. Congratulations to Morgan and the JV Track Team members.

Here is the latest Girls Track & Field update from Coach Day "Congratulations to the Girls Junior Varsity Track Team for a great effort at this week's meet. The following young ladies were medalist this week: Sara Ambros 3rd in the 3200 meters; Jayla Daniel, Sophia James, Amanda Black, Gladys Herrera, Clarissa Posadas, and Dondrea Pugh placed 3rd in both relays. Coach Day reports that Morgan Stewart took home first place in the 400 & 800 meter run while simultaneously shattering their meet records and creating new PR's of her own with a new 800m record of 2:13.18 and new 400m record of 56.42.
